Anthro Corporation is a private company founded in Portland, Oregon, U.S. in 1984. The company designs, manufactures, and sells ergonomic furniture for technology. Anthro is based in Tualatin, Oregon. ==History== Anthro was founded in 1984 by Shoaib Tareen and Cathy Filgas as a subsidiary of Tektronix. The first products were carts for engineers and personal computer users. The first product that Anthro designed was the AnthroCart, a small, mobile cart for desktop computers. In 1987, the company founders purchased the company from Tektronix. In the early 1990s, Anthro moved all of their manufacturing processes in-house. This was done to create faster lead times than they had when purchasing manufactured products from vendors. Over time, Anthro built on the AnthroCart with more complex products, including electric lift tables, power supply carts, laptop storage and charging carts, and radiology reading room tables.〔 (【引用サイトリンク】title=Anthro History ) 〕 The company's revenue rose to $38 million for 2014.
